Red Brown Hair | Take the Plunge for the Sexy Look
If you are thinking of dyeing your hair, take the plunge, try red brown hair. This is my favorite color, it is eye catching and daring but not as daring as fire engine red. That would be the most difficult hair color of all to wear unless you have very fair skin and icy blue eyes.
The original hair colors are Blonde, Auburn, Brown and Black. Red brown hair color is not an original hair color but it is gorgeous and so are the other versions, Auburn, Mahogany, Chestnut and Copper. In the past, hair color was used to cover up grey hair, but today it is all in the name of fashion and celebrities. The celebrities with red brown hair who look divine , gorgeous and sexy wearing it are Julienne Moor, Kate Mara, Kristen Stewart, Laura Prepon and Stana Katic to name a few. Switch only if your skin tone is of the warm colors of yellow, golden yellow, golden light coffee, honey brown and beige. It will make your skin looks even rosier. Highlight red brown hair with black low-lights or streak it with red, cinnamon or copper for that unique and trendy look.
There are factors to consider when it comes to dyeing your hair and getting the perfect red brown hair is no exception. Of course, colors are not permanent and should it not turn to the shade you want, you can always redo it with more suitable colors or you can even try Henna. Henna is an orange dye, mix it with Indigo (another natural dye from plant) to get the brown color. After repeated use, the orange color will slowly transform to red and later auburn. Dye it with indigo will give you the red brown color. Even with Henna, you will get different results due to different hair types, the ways of application, the length of time Henna is left on the hair as well as the ratio of indigo to Henna. So, be observant and take note to tweak your process to achieve the color you want.
How to get perfect red brown hair
Burgundy mixed with Natural Black at a 50:50 ratio gives me that rich reddish brown hair color. But what works for me may not work for you as it is subject to the porosity of the hair and the hair’s natural color. If the hair has been color treated before, the previous hair color deposits could give a different end result too.
If you find that it is too much of a hassle to do it on your own, always go to a hairdresser. These people are trained and they definitely will have a better color sense than us and be able to match well our skin tone to the hair color. Though red brown hair is hot, not everyone can wear it well.
